David Perez named Associate Editor of Management Science

 Professor David Pérez-Castrillo has been recently named Associate Editor of Market Design, Platform, and Demand Analytics at Management Science.
Assistant Professor Hanna Wang has released a new working paper with Jere Behrman and Farhan Majid from the University of Pennsylvania studying the impact of minimum wage policies on the health of parents and children in Indonesia

ENTER Jamboree 2022 hosted by UAB

The 2022 ENTER Jamboree will take place at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on June 20 and 21, 2022. The European Network For Training in Economic Research (ENTER) is a cooperative venture between eight leading European Economics Departments, that aims at fostering internationally competitive research of the highest possible quality, by broadening the base for competent supervision and intensive interaction towards research in Economics.

The Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory (SAET) has elected professors Jordi Massó and David Pérez-Castrillo as new Economic Theory Fellows in 2021. Economic Theory Fellows are selected for their scientific excellence, originality, and leadership; high ethical standards; and scholarly and creative achievement.

The Coalition Theory Network (CTN) is an association of nine high-level scientific institutions whose aim is the advancement and diffusion of research in the area of network theory and coalition formation. This year's Workshop will be organized around three main research topics: coalition formation, matching, and networks.

VI Calvo-Armengol International Prize Ceremony 

The VI Calvo-Armengol International prize in Economics was awarded tp Ben Golub (Northwestern). Professor Golub delivered a talk on "Complexity Fragility and Policy in Economic Networks" on November 9, 2021 at the Cercle d'Economia in Barcelona. 

Matt Jackson Appointed Chair of BSE Scientific Council

The Board of Trustees of the Barcelona School of Economics has appointed Matthew O. Jackson (Stanford University) Chair of the BSE Scientific Council after Hugo Sonnenschein, who chaired the group since 2008, passed away earlier this year.

The Barcelona GSE is now the Barcelona School of Economics

The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics has changed its name to the Barcelona School of Economics. This change went into effect at the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year.
